About Us

 Statement of Faith

A version of the New Hampshire Confession of Faith

Year of our Lord 1833

1. We believe that love for one another as Jesus loves the believer manifests our discipleship, verifies our love for God and symbolizes our authority as New Testament Believers. As stated in 1 John 2:5 those who keep His Word have the love of God. Love is therefore the great commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ upon which all others are dependent; Matt. 22:35-40. Whereas: love as Jesus Christ commands us to love is a fruit of the Spirit, it may not be accomplished without the Holy Spirit. Gal. 5:22

2. We believe in the infallible, verbal inspiration of the whole Bible, in its original languages translated to our English language word for word, with no admixture, namely the KJV and it is the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice; 2Tim. 3:16,17

3. We believe in the personal triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in divine perfection; Matt. 28: 19

4. We believe in the Genesis account of Creation Gen. 1: 2

5. We believe that Satan is a fallen angel; the archenemy of God and man, the unholy god of this world, and that his destiny is the eternal lake of fire Rev. 20:10

6. We believe in the virgin birth and sinless humanity of Jesus Christ. Matt. 1:18-20

7. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. John 1:1, 14

8. We believe the Holy Spirit is the divine Administrator for Jesus Christ. John 14:16, John 16:7-13.

9. We believe that Man was created in the image of God and lived in innocency until he fell by voluntary transgression from his sinless state, the result being that all mankind are sinners. Gen. 1:26; Gen. 3:6-24; Rom. 5: 12, 19

10. We believe that the suffering and death of Jesus Christ was substitutionary for all mankind and is efficacious only to those who believe. 1Cor. 15:3-4; 1 Peter 3:18

11. We believe in the bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ and the bodily resurrection of His saints. Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thess. 4:13-18

12. We believe in the pretribulation return of Jesus Christ into the clouds to “catch up” those, both dead and living, to heaven who are in Jesus Christ. We believe that those in Christ shall be with Him evermore. 1Thess. 4:16,17 We believe this event is the crowning event of the Age of Grace and the wrath of God, the Tribulation, shall begin shortly thereafter. 1 Thess. 1:10; 5:9; Romans 5:9 At the end of the Tribulation, Jesus Christ and His armies of heaven (us) shall return on white horses wearing white linen robes. Jesus Christ shall destroy evil at the battle of Armageddon with the sword of His mouth. Rev. 19:14-21. The Millennium shall begin. We believe whereas those of 1 Thess. 4:16,17 are with Jesus for evermore and shall have their part in the Millennium. Rev. 20:1-3. The Millennium (1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ here on earth) will be followed by the resurrection of the unrighteous, they will appear at the Great White Throne judgement on their way unto eternal punishment in the lake of fire. Rev. 20: 11-15; Rev. 21:8 Furthermore: We believe the righteous in Jesus Christ are the bride, the Lamb's wife. Rev. 21:9. Also the bride of Christ (us) shall have their part in the “New Jerusalem” Rev. 21:10; Rev. 22:17.

13. We believe the depraved sinner is saved wholly by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the requisite to regeneration is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Eph. 2:8,9; 1Cor. 15: 3,4, And, that the Holy Spirit convicts sinners. Furthermore, He regenerates, and indwells every believer. John 16:7-13; Rom. 8:9-11; 1Cor. 6:19

14. We believe that before the rapture of the believers there shall be a falling away (apostasy) of a great portion of believers. 2Thess. 2:3 Furthermore: We believe that faithful believers endure unto the end, that their persevering attachment to Christ is the grand mark which distinguishes them, that a special Providence watches over their welfare, and they are kept by the power of God through faith unto life eternal. 2 Thess. 2:3; John 15:5-6

15. We believe that there are two ordinances for the followers of Jesus Christ: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Scriptural baptism is the complete immersion of penitent believers in water, administered by the authority of a New Testament Believer in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Lord's Supper is a memorial ordinance, restricted to Believers. Matt. 28:19,20; Acts 8:12, 38; Rom. 6:4; 1Cor. 5:11-13; 1Cor. 11: 1,2; 17-20,26

16. We believe that there are two divinely appointed offices, Elders/Pastors and Deacons, to be filled by men whose qualifications are set forth in Titus and 1 Timothy.

17. We believe that all associations, fellowships, committees, and property should be servants of and under control of each local group of believers. Furthermore: Biblical doctrine shall be generated only from scripture used in context, hermenetically correct, and be to the glory of Jesus Christ. Matt. 20:25-28; 1 Thess. 4:6; Rev. 2:6,15

18. We believe in freedom of worship without interference from the government and affirm our belief in civil obedience, unless the laws and regulations of civil government run contrary to the Holy Scriptures. Rom. 13:1-7; 1 Peter 2: 13-15

19. We absolutely do not accept any form Nicolaitanism. Things the Lord Jesus states that He hates, are to be avoided. Rev.2:6,15 Denominations and/or associations having or promoting a hierarchy of spiritual authority is Nicolaitan.

20. We believe that it is Jesus Christ that saves and redeems the lost sinner. A denomination, church, association, or any individual is incapable of extending salvation. There is only one way to be saved and that is by the blood of Jesus Christ. Sola Fida.

Holding the truths of scripture as dearly loved and sacred: That they are all sufficient unto eternal life found only in Jesus Christ: we, the undersigned, hereby covenant with the aforementioned Statements, creating our Statement of Faith.
